HIT IT AND QUIT IT April 26, 2010- The JAZZ Special...

While all of us at Hit It and Quit It consider ourselves fans and lovers of the music called Jazz, for some reason we haven't found ourselves packing too much of this heady heat into our weekly crates. There are likely a few reasons for this (Jazz isn't really all that popular with the George crowd, lots of Aucklanders don't really get it, we're all still recovering from that 'NuJazz' thing, etc.). Nevertheless, we took a stand against the naysayers and dug deep into our collective vaults to come up with this show. Many thanks to our very special guests Nathan Haines and DJ Truent who both graced us with some real vinyl gems and some funny stories as well.

(And apologies for some tech issues. Chalk another one up to the disfunctional George on-air studio...)

PLUS... coming soon! The full night's recording of The Hit It and Quit It Revue vol. 5- a brilliant night of music and getting down with top Auckland crowd-rockers Manuel Bundy and DJ Truent taking us on a funk odyssey.
